Elle magazine is one of the things that makes Paris fashion go round, so it’s fitting that Superfluparis would start on a Friday, the day Elle hits the stands.  For those far form the hexagon, but ever in need of a Paris style fix, here’s what the world’s biggest fashion weekly has to say about la mode a few days before Paris Spring 2010 fashion week.

What better way to celebrate than by turning the house of Carven into a cookie, or more precisely a macaroon from Ladurée, noblesse oblige? Carven’s house color is green, which is also the color of good luck.   The Carven macaroons, packed in a signature green and white stripe box, are anise-flavored and available exclusively at Ladurée’s rue Royale HQ in October.  

Why Carven?  Madame Carven, who founded the house in the 1940s, turned 100 on August 31, which makes her Paris fashion’s doyen. And that’s not all.  This summer saw the debut of Caven’s men’s collection for Spring 2010 from Ludovic Alban, formerly with Hermès and YSL. Next up is women’s wear for spring from Guillaume Henry who earned his stripes at Givenchy and Paule Ka.
